The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Seoul opened a Book of Condolence in honour of Government Officials and Military Personnel who tragically lost their lives in the Ghana Air Force Z-9 helicopter accident that occurred on Wednesday, 6 August 2025, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
From Monday, 11 August to Wednesday, 13 August 2025, the Mission received Ms. Cho Soo-Jin, Deputy Director-General of the Africa Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, as well as representatives of the following Diplomatic Missions, who paid solemn tribute to the eight victims of the tragedy:
- Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone
- Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar
- Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda
- Embassy of the Republic of the Sudan
- Embassy of the United Arab Emirates
May the souls of Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed (MP), Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Dr. Samuel Sarpong, Mr. Samuel Aboagye, Squadron Leader Peter Baafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah rest in perfect peace.
